Kia ora!
Our developers have been working on fixing bugs on our Awhi community platform. They’ve finished their mahi for now - and now we need you!
The community platform was designed to be a place where parents could privately share their highs and lows and seek support and solidarity from each other. We launched a bit too early, so we temporarily shut down the platform to make sure it was working well. We’re now ready to invite you back in and collect your feedback.
Please help us! We need you to help to guide us - we are parent-led and we need to know what you need and want from this community because it’s your community!
We would love it if you jumped into the community here - and did the following -
Sign up - and let us know how you found that process.
Fill out your profile - and let us know what you think of the questions and if you think we need more or less information.
Post on the platform - and let us know if you found this easy and intuitive to do.
Comment on someone else’s post - and let us know how that worked for you.
We’re also keen to know what you think works and doesn’t, what you like or don’t like, what improvements you think could be made, and what you’d like to see in the future. We want to know exactly what you think!
Awhi Ngā Mātua is a not-for-profit community made by parents for parents.
We really need you to help us make it the best place to be for parents of disabled, medically fragile and neurodivergent children.
Provide your feedback by email hello@awhingamatua.org.nz or by commenting on this post or replying to this post. If you’d like us to ring you to get your feedback - we can do that as well. Whatever you need!
Thank you for being part of this community and for helping us make it a safe place for parents to land when they need support and awhi!
Arohanui, Emily & the Awhi Ngā Mātua team.
